Many have asked for it and Lifeloc has responded. With it's Lifeloc University, you can do chapters 1-7 of the DOT BAT curriculum on line. Chapter 8, Proficiency training (7 mock tests, operation, calibration checks, etc.), can be completed either in person or via webcam.
How it Works:
Order the BAT training license through Safety & Health Connections, LLC for $100 per person. Your student ID will be emailed to you.
Complete the BAT class on line within 30 days. You may pause a class and resume later if needed.
Schedule the Proficiency training. If via webcam we will do a short "practice" session prior to make sure everything is working properly. On the day of Proficiency training I will observe each person complete the 7 mock tests. Calibration and calibration checks are also covered, as is a thorough review of all of the functions and menus of your breath alcohol tester. This training should take around 3-4 hours and is invoiced at the half day rate.
If doing the Proficiency training in person we would schedule a date. This is invoiced at the normal daily rate plus expenses.
Once training is completed you will receive your BAT and Lifeloc Certified Operator and Calibration Technician certificates. This training is good for five years and you may access the BAT training on line anytime during the five years.
